Impact of the Westerlies
Westerly flow from the mild north Atlantic leads to wetness across western Europe, in particular the United Kingdom, where the western coasts can receive between 1,000 mm (39 in), at sea-level) and 2,500 mm (98 in), on the mountains) of rain per year.
